We got a tree!

I don't have time to this to all my buddie groups, so figured I'd post it here for now until I can and then C&P later. I got a reprieve on Sunday and got to have the day off. My boss wishes he'd called me in, but I told him that in the long run it was a good idea as I would be worth more this week. He agreed with that. I slept until 11am and then got up and got ready for church. Had a good church service. I did set up a back up for the Christmas Program that's next Sunday. As it stands now, it looks like I may be able to get Sunday afternoon off, but just in case, I'd like someone to take over the lead if neccessary. After church, K and I went and bought a Christmas tree. We both agreed that we wanted a small one this year. We both agreed that a large tree screams "child missing" and felt that a little table top one was more "couple oriented". We are pleased with our find and will hopefully decorate it tonight or Tuesday. The top branches are great for my Star Trek ornaments and the top will hold my Angel nice and straight. I haven't decided what theme to do on the rest of the tree yet. I need to go through my inventory lists. After picking out our tree, we went to dinner at Sourdough Mining Co. I've never been and it's quite awhile since K has been. We had a wonderful dinner. I didn't like the onion thing that I bought and the waitress took it off the bill. I was quite impressed. I gave her tip based off the original amount though. I was a good girl and didn't eat too much bread and only had a couple bites of ice cream. I did enjoy the corn fritters with honey butter, so I wasn't really good there. After dinner we went Wild Berry Products and finished up a few Christmas gifts. I found this year's Ty Signature and Holiday bears for my beanie baby collection. I told K that I'm only collecting the dated ones now, so that's about 2 a year. I found a beautiful blanket for my brother and his wife. I told K that next year I'm stopping there first when I begin my Christmas list, b/c I saw tons of great ideas. We went home and got the tree set up, worked on Christmas cards and bills. It was nice to spend the day together since we haven't seen much of each other in a week and probably won't see much of each over the next fews days and then K travels out of town for a few days. That was a good day.
