My life is STILL on hold!!

Still working long hours and no internet at home. I have a few minutes to catch up on personal paperwork and journals. Let's see, Sunday was the last time I wrote. It's been pretty much an unremarkable week news wise. K is out of town W-F, so Gracie is at the IL's house so she won't spend over 14 hrs in her "digs". She, of course, is in heaven since she's not cooped up all day and she has a playmate (they own a Maltese as well). I talked to K's nephew, toddler age, on the phone last night when I checked on Gracie. MIL was babysitting and apparently they were making cookies. DNephew gets on the phone and is just chatting away and I asked him what kind of cookies they were baking. Chocolate. I said "Nana can't eat chocolate" and his reply was "Little boys can eat chocolate in Nana's house". Too cute!! I enjoyed my night last night having the house all to myself and watching Princess Diaries 2 without K spoiling the plot line. Lord Nicholas is dreamy!! His eyes and smile just made me melt. Then I remembered that he's most likely 10 years my JUNIOR and I felt really old. I think I like the sequel better. I love Julie Andrews and she even sang a little in it. That was cool. I'm feeling better about my job, but still considering, after all this dies down, looking at my options. I really don't like the idea of putting my life on hold for such long periods of time. Two weeks is a long time with a baby or small child. I'd miss out on A LOT! But it's doable if not too often. Two months seems like forever either way and they are talking of this going on that long before they shut it down for the winter. This is NOT what I signed up for!! One of these days I'll have my life back and I can join the real word again. Sigh. Rhonda P.S. - A buddie got a BFP for Christmas!! Pls pray for a sticky one for her. She's suffered 2 m/c already.

Just checking in on you friend. :) You're probably right to keep your options for work open. 2 weeks is a very long time. I had a hard time being in the hospital for 2 nights - Caleb is so used to having me all day and in the night too if he happens to wake up. (which he still does from time to time) It would be great if you didn't have to work after you have your babies... at least until they are all old enough to not need you as much. I'm not sure when that age is - lol! I'll let you know when Caleb gets there. :) Hugs to you as you keep plugging away. I hope that you are getting major overtime pay! ;) Sheri
