Gracie

The love of my life is about 7lb, all white, and cute as a button. Her name is Gracie and we adopted her in January 2001. She was born in Joseph, Oregon and the breeder drove up to us and we flew her home 1st class. We were in love with her instantly and she proved to be so full of charisma that people to request to "borrow" her. Getting dog sitters was easy. Gracie loves to prance around the room when she know she has an audience. She really loves people and she knows they thinks she's cute. DH thought that letting me adopt a puppy would stave the desire in my heart to have a baby. It worked for awhile, LOL! But, really, I needed a pet. I grew up with all sort of animals and we always had cats and dogs. A home, just isn't a home without a dog or cat. Gracie's name comes from the fact that when I lost my first dog after being on my own, I knew by the grace of God I would get another puppy to love and spoil. I said I would name my new puppy Gracie to remind me of God's unfailing grace. I love Gracie so much that I just cry at the thought of anything happening to her. I spoil her rotten, yet make her tow the line. She is the light of my life--my pseudo child. Today we had to make an appointment for Gracie to see Dr. F. She is starting to show signs of luxating putella in her left leg. She had this in her right leg and she had to have surgery teh day after her 1st birthday. It really breaks my heart that I may have to take her in to be sliced open again. I really don't want that to happen.

I love that pic of Gracie-she's such a cutie-pie. If Alaska wasn't so darn far away from MD I'd borrow her too!
